Hour ?....3 p.m.

This is basically my life. And that is Rhett because I CAN TELL THEM APART *head desk*

After a great birthday lunch at a local soupery (soupdashery?), we are home and back in our snuggly blankets. I'm THISCLOSE to finishing with the Hemingway, which incidentally I am NOT LOVING. Not because it's poorly written but because it's all the things about Hemingway that irk me (badly drawn female characters and wholesale slaughter of fancy animals in the name of manliness) in VERY CONDENSED short story form. But, as I said, I'm almost done and will soon move on to something less...masculine?

Reading: The Snows of Kilimanjaro and Other Stories
Books read: Three Act Tragedy
Pages read: 399
Snacks: Bob the gingerbread cookie. He was my free birthday cookie at Panera. I will consume him momentarily.

Read on!

  1. OH MY GOD LOOK AT THOSE THIGHS. *contemplates next snack, in lieu of baby-thigh*

  2. He is adorable. Oh goodness, now I want one (a baby, not Hemingway).

  3. I thought part of your birthday present was for your husband to take the munckins during the readathon?

  4. Looks like a good life! I'm not overly fond of Hemingway for the reasons you've cited; I might try more some day, but I've had enough for now.

  5. That picture makes me want my baby NOW and I have to wait till February! Good luck with the reading

  6. LOL, last week while my daughter (now 7) was up for THREE DAYS coughing I also finished a book.

I always recall what my foster brother told me when she was born. He said: "you'll never have a good night sleep again" and he was right.

    But it's worth it :)

  7. I am laughing so hard, because minus the baby (mine is almost 14 now), that picture also sums up my life (cat, couch, blanket, jammies, book). I would also have a snack nearby :)
